Michigan DT learns the hard way he’ll never be in a Dukes of Hazzard remake

Ever heard of the term to, "bo-duke it"?

The kids sometimes use it to refer to Dukes of Hazzard character Bo Duke, who famously used to slide across the hood of his car, the General Lee, while he was trying to make a quick getaway.

Michigan defensive lineman Will Campbell has apparently heard of this term because he tried to "bo-duke" a car at 2 a.m. on April 7 and ended up being arrested arraigned on a felony charge of malicious destruction of property worth more than $1,000 but less than $20,000 and a misdemeanor charge of malicious destruction of property worth more than $200 but less than $1,000.

An officer in the area could hear the sheet metal on the hood of the car buckle under Campbell's weight — he's listed at 322 pounds — and arrested the senior, police stated.

Campbell was intoxicated, according to police.

Bo Duke couldn't have been more than 180 pounds; Campbell should have known better.

Unfortunately, this probably won't help Campbell try and live up to the five-star status that made him a coveted recruit three years ago. Since then, he's had 19 career tackles, two sacks and one fumble recovery.

And one botched "bo-duke"
