Jeff Gordon is driving a car with a Texas A&M paint scheme this weekend at Texas Motor Speedway for the Sprint Cup Series race and he's also got a helmet to match it.

Looks pretty good, doesn't it? (We fully understand if your answer is "no" and you're a Texas fan.)

The CEO of Axalta Coatings, the company sponsoring Gordon's car this weekend, is a Texas A&M graduate and paid for the paint scheme honoring the Aggies. Axalta bought DuPont, Gordon's long-time sponsor, in 2013.

Gordon officially unveiled the car Thursday in College Station, Texas and attended Texas A&M's practice, where he got a No. 24 jersey from coach Kevin Sumlin.

The A&M-themed car is not the first time NASCAR teams have made a foray into college football paint schemes recently. After Auburn won the 2011 BCS Championship, Michael Waltrip drove an Auburn car. Following Alabama's BCS Championship Game win in 2012, Clint Bowyer drove an Alabama tribute car.
