Daniel Imatorbhebhe says he's heading to USC

It's not a surprise, but Daniel Imatorbhebhe said he's going to play for USC.

The former Florida tight end told TrojanSports.com that he'd be a Trojan. He was a four-star tight end in the class of 2015 and didn't play in the Gators' spring game after arriving on campus early.

"This is where I always wanted to be and I got the opportunity, so I'm excited to do it," Imatorbhebhe said. "The opportunity just presented itself and I jumped all over it as soon as I could."

Imatorbhebhe left Florida in May when Inside the Gators reported that his locker had been cleaned out. USC was mentioned as a likely destination then because his brother, Josh is currently committed to the Trojans as a member of the class of 2016.

Trojan Sports said he was on campus Wednesday.

"It's USC," he said. "There are few places that could really stack up and compare. It's such a blessing to be out here."

The site said Daniel will be considered a blueshirt and a member of USC's class of 2016 unless the family petitions the NCAA for immediate eligibility. If he was immediately eligible, his arrival would be a boost to USC's depleted tight end corps.

Bryce Dixon, a projected starter in 2015 is no longer with the university and Jalen Cope-Fitzpatrick is the only returning scholarship tight end.
