Auburn DL Tyler Nero on the sidelines at practice Saturday after collapsing Thursday

Auburn DT Tyler Nero didn't participate in Saturday's spring practice, but was back on the sidelines watching after collapsing during practice on Thursday.

He was taken to the hospital by ambulance after he collapsed Thursday morning. However Auburn coach Gus Malzahn declined to reveal what tests at the hospital found, if anything.

"I'm not going to get into specifics but he was back out there today and that's a good thing," Malzahn said via AL.com Saturday. "We'll see moving forward."

Nero passed out during an early practice drill the Tigers call a "pace drill" in which the defense plays against its offense running a very fast pace.

"My group was coming off again and they only had three people and we were like, 'What's going on?'" defensive tackle Gabe Wright told Al.com. "Then we noticed Tyler still lying (down) and everybody was over there with him."

Wright said he and other teammates visited Nero in the hospital Thursday and shared some laughs and jokes.

Nero, a sophomore played in one game in 2013 and recorded one tackle.

In February, Cal's Ted Agu collapsed during a conditioning drill and later died. Last week, Navy slotback Will McKamey died after spending three days in a coma after collapsing at practice.
