Some people on Twitter are very confused by the biases of the Kentucky Teamcast announcers

For Saturday night’s Final Four broadcast, Turner Sports and CBS had an interesting idea. With multiple networks at their disposal, instead of just one national broadcast, fans had the chance to watch two team-specific broadcasts for each game.

For Kentucky's 74-73 victory over Wisconsin, in addition to the national broadcast on TBS, TNT aired a “Kentucky Teamcast” and truTV broadcast a “Wisconsin Teamcast.” Those two teamcasts featured announcers who fans of those teams are familiar with. This was especially the case with Kentucky, whose broadcast was led by Rob Bromley, a long-time color commentator for UKTV, and Rex Chapman, the 12-year NBA veteran who played for the Wildcats.

Predictably, these Kentucky announcers were pretty biased toward the Wildcats and people who had not picked up on this new three-broadcast structure took to Twitter to complain.

There are literally hundreds of these. Here's a small sample:

Even long-time NBA player Detlef Schrempf was complaining!

During halftime of the national TBS broadcast, Charles Barkley even called out the people complaining about the Teamcasts (video via The Big Lead).

Chapman also had a message for the people complaining about his bias.

I couldn't say it better myself. Thanks Rex.
