The lights went out in the middle of Spurs-Grizzlies Game 4

At the 10:03 mark of the second quarter of Game 4 between the Grizzlies and San Antonio Spurs, the lights at FedEx Forum decided to take a little post-Sunday-brunch nap:

After a few confusing moments, the public address announcer at FedEx Forum told the fans in attendance that there had been a power surge that caused a "building-wide brown-out that caused us to lose lights on court." Both teams remained on the court, with Memphis head coach Dave Joerger evidently taking advantage of this unexpected and extended timeout:

After an 18-minute delay during which ABC's coverage kicked back to its studio show — and during which we learned that the outage extended beyond the walls of FedEx Forum to the surrounding downtown Memphis area due to a "county-wide drop in voltage" — the lights came back on and the two teams resumed play, with the Grizzlies fighting to stave off elimination and the Spurs looking to turn out the lights in Memphis for the rest of the spring and summer.
