The highest-scoring game in NBA history celebrates its 30th birthday (Video)

It was on this date 30 years ago that the Detroit Pistons and Denver Nuggets played in the highest-scoring NBA game of all time. The Pistons took that contest in triple-overtime by a 186-184 score, totals that were propped up by Denver's outrageously-paced offensive attack. The Doug Moe-coached squad led the NBA with 110 possessions per game that year. By comparison, this year's fastest squad (the Philadelphia 76ers) average 99 possessions a contest.
