Storied NASCAR driver Kimi Raikkonen wins Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix

And they said it couldn't be done.

No one could go to NASCAR, conquer it with the force of a thousand suns, and then return to Formula 1 and win again. Well, Kimi Raikkonen has done it.

Raikkonen won Sunday's Abu Dhabi Grand Prix for his first Formula 1 win since he jaunted over to NASCAR in 2011, and his first win in the series since the 2009 Belgian Grand Prix. It was the first F1 win for Lotus this year as well, and Raikkonen became the eighth different F1 driver to win a race this year after the first seven races featured seven different winners.

And if you're scrambling to look up the exact numbers of Kimi's NASCAR dominance to quiz your friends today, we've got you covered. Last year, Raikkonen entered two events (both sponsored by NASCAR mainstay Perky Jerky), where he finished 15th at the Charlotte Truck Series race for Kyle Busch Motorsports and 27th in the Charlotte Nationwide race driving Joe Nemechek's No. 87 with equipment from KBM.

So you can see why NASCAR was so easy for Kimi. And now, it looks like Formula 1 is too. What could be next?
