Video: Bob Costas eulogizes Stan Musial

Prior to his passing last weekend, Stan Musial had requested that longtime friend and sportscaster Bob Costas be among those to speak at his funeral. On Saturday, Costas honored that request in front of a large gathering — including some fans who squeezed in — at the Cathedral Basilica in St. Louis.

And he knocked it out of the park.

The video of Costas' eulogy comes to us from MLB.com. It lasts around 20 minutes and touches on everything — on and off the field — that made Stan who he was — “The Man”. It also includes a memorable quote from Yogi Berra that sets the tone and stories about Musial playing cards with some of the National League’s absolute best during the 1950s.
