Talented ball girl saves fan from line drive (Video)

Baseball teams often scout their local college and high school softball teams when looking to hire ball girls at the start of the season. I can't say for certain that the San Diego Padres pulled ball girl Lisa off the diamond, but it's evident she knows her way around a glove.

Watch as she saves a group of Rangers fans from a scary line drive at Petco Park:

.

Given the sorry state of the Padres — they're currently the worst team in baseball at 24-46 — that play really has the possibility to go down as the team's highlight of the 2012 season.

Of course, what really ties the whole clip together is announcer Dick Enberg's tongue hitting the ground over Lisa's good looks instead of his jaw dropping over her great grab. There's just something creepy and hilarious about a 77-year-old man trying to interject "hubba hubba!" back into the lexicon, especially when it's aimed at someone young enough to be his granddaughter.
