Oops: David Price appears on the cover of the 2016 Blue Jays calendar

David Price was a member of the Toronto Blue Jays last season. After signing a massive seven-year, $217 million deal on Tuesday he'll be on the Boston Red Sox next year, and for six years after that. While the news of Price's signing made waves in the baseball community, somebody neglected to tell the company that made the 2016 Blue Jays team calendar.

Price is not only featured on the team's 2016 calendar, he's the cover boy:

Oh boy, that is less than optimal. That's a pretty big mistake, the type that might get someone in a lot of trouble.

It's possible to excuse this one mistake, even though it's pretty egregious. In this case, however, Price's inclusion in the calendar was far from the only error.

Yikes! Your eyes do not deceive you. That's former Jays shortstop Jose Reyes. He was traded to the Colorado Rockies before the team even acquired Price from the Detroit Tigers.

In the middle there, next to Russell Martin, is pitcher Daniel Norris. You'll recall Norris was the prize prospect traded to the Tigers for David Price. He's also a part of the calendar!

As a reminder, it's not the Blue Jays' fault these players appear on their team calendar. It's the company responsible for putting the whole thing together.

It's clear that the whole thing was put together early in the season, which might excuse some errors. That said, Price made it on there. By the time he was on the team, both Reyes and Norris were gone. So, that raises a couple of questions about this whole ordeal.

So, uh, sorry Blue Jays fans. The 2016 team calendar will only bring you pain. Sure, it will remind you of the fond memories you had with David Price, but it will ultimately lead to depression once you realize he's gone. Two other months of the year, you'll be proudly displaying two former members of the club.

Things would probably be worse if you hadn't snapped the longest playoff drought in baseball last season, but this one still hurts.
