Kyle Schwarber's monster home run lands on Wrigley Field videoboard

The Chicago Cubs home-run barrage continued in their NLDS Game 4 victory against the St. Louis Cardinals, which catapulted them to their first NLCS since 2003.

After six different Cubs homered in a historic offensive performance during their Game 3 victory, the team connected for three more home runs on Tuesday as they overpowered and dispatched their longtime rivals.

The loudest and by far the grandest in its spectacle came off the bat of Kyle Schwarber. With the Cubs leading by a run in the seventh inning, Schwarber connected against Cardinals reliever Kevin Siegrist, sending a moonshot to right field that actually landed on top of the Wrigley Field videoboard.

There it sits, lonely and likely destroyed on the inside. That gave Chicago a 6-4 lead, which held up as the game's final score.

Estimates of the home run's distance have varied.

One thing we can all agree on: It was crushed. Even other teams around MLB couldn't help but marvel at the home run's distance. Here's a fun Vine from the Oakland A's.

All three of Chicago's home runs were a big part of their victory. Javier Baez hit a three-run shot that gave Chicago its first lead of the game in the second inning. In the sixth, Anthony Rizzo answered a Cardinals rally with his own go-ahead solo home run.

As for Schwarber's blast, it served as the exclamation point to a remarkable series and a warning to the rest of baseball and especially to the New York Mets and Los Angeles Dodgers. The Cubs are here, and they aren't going away any time soon.
