Jose Reyes and Hanley Ramirez go orange

The Tampa Bay Rays have gone bald in preparation for the 2012 season.

Now, across the state, the Miami Marlins are opting for orange. Jose Reyes and Hanley Ramirez dyed their hair orange on Thursday morning in an attempt to do their best Joe Lemire impression. "The rubios!" Ramirez tweeted.

MLB.com's Joe Frisaro reported that Omar Infante was next in line and one has to assume that Emilio Bonifacio wasn't far behind with the way he's trailed Reyes and Ramirez all camp.

For a situation that reportedly could have gone toxic, it really appears that the Ramirez-Reyes side of the infield couldn't be going any better for the Marlins. They've been nearly inseparable in Jupiter — like an infield version of Petey and Lomo, really — and they haven't caused a whiff of controversy. If their regular-season production blossoms as quickly as their spring training friends, the Marlins will be sitting pretty.
