Bryce Harper wants a UFC title belt, promises to hit a batting-practice homer while wearing it

A professional athlete carrying around a WWE title belt isn't all that unusual anymore. Clayton Kershaw and Max Scherzer got them for winning the Cy Young award this season. David Ortiz sported one during the Boston Red Sox's World Series victory parade. Philadelphia Eagles running back LeSean McCoy strapped one on his shoulder after winning the NFL rushing title and LeBron James openly campaigned for (and received) one.

Bryce Harper wants a championship belt too. Just not a pro wrestling one. As you might guess about a 21-year-old prone to mohawks, Bryce prefers MMA and, thus, he wants a UFC title belt. Things in his favor: He's from Las Vegas, he's bulking up this offseason and he's gotten bloody during a game.

Here's UFC's response, followed by Harper's promise:

Considering the show Harper put on during last year's Home Run Derby, hitting a batting-practice homer with a UFC belt on doesn't seem outside his skill set.

We're more curious about what kind of bar that would set for stars using their title belts in athletic stunts. Would Clayton Kershaw throw a bullpen session wearing his? Will LeBron give us a pre-game dunk show wearing a WWE belt?
