Randall Cunningham Jr.

isn't the only famous heir enjoying a break through season for the Bishop Gorman School (Las Vegas, Nev.) football squad. In fact, his father pales in comparison to the star wattage that emanates from the relative of another Gorman star who is turning heads at a lower level.

Biaggio Ali-Walsh is the starting running back for the Gaels' freshman squad. He is also the grandson of the most famous boxer of all-time, Muhammad Ali.

Ali-Walsh is only 15, but he's already emerging as a potential top recruit in the Class of 2017. As reported in this terrific feature from MaxPreps, the powerful 5-foot-10, 165-pounder scored 10 touchdowns in just four games early in the season and is being groomed as the Gaels' next breakthrough back among a legacy of top Division I prospects.

For Ali-Walsh, the spotlight is natural, probably because it has never been far away. His grandfather has been an active part of his life, and still talks to the running back over Skype or Apple FaceTime after his games. Ali-Walsh's mother, Rasheda Ali-Walsh, is an avid campaigner for Parkinson's research -- she co-wrote a children's book explaining the disease with her siblings -- and for crime prevention in Chicago.

Those two causes have served as the direction for her life's work, but her two sons, Biaggio and 13-year-old Nico are her largest focus. Both are budding athletic stars, and both know that they'll attract additional attention for being related to their grandfather.

That's ok for Biaggio, so long as he gets to keep speaking with the man he affectionately calls "Papi."

"He always tells me how proud he is of me," Biaggio told MaxPreps' Mitch Stephens. "That makes me feel happy and strong."
