H.S. senior hits goal from behind the midfield line

High school basketball and hockey get most of the attention as key winter sports – but in warmer regions, it's soccer season. Check out this incredible shot in a recent game in California:

The goal came off the foot of Geoffrey Acheampong, a senior at the Cate School (Carpinteria, Calif.).

Cate got out to an early 1-0 lead, with Archeampong setting up a teammate with a perfect cornerkick in the first minute of the game. Malibu tied it up about 18 minutes later, only to see Cate regain the lead on Archeampong's 60-yard goal.

From there, Malibu took over, scoring four unanswered goals for the 5-2 win.
