Jordan Spieth sinks ace on Day 1 of BMW Championship

Jordan Spieth was having a mediocre day halfway through the opening round of the BMW Championship on Thursday. Then the ball decided to listen.

Spieth made a hole-in-one at the 196-yard par-3 second hole at Conway Farms G.C., just north of Chicago. The shot looked good in the air, but Spieth commanded the ball to "be enough" as it just cleared onto the green and tracked into the hole.

This is Spieth's second PGA Tour ace. Spieth also scored a hole-in-one during the 2013 Puerto Rico Open.

The ace moved Spieth from even par to 2-under on the round. Spieth was 5-under before first-round play was called.

Spieth missed the cut in the first two FedEx Cup playoff events, missing consecutive cuts for the first time in his young PGA Tour career. This week, there is no cut in the 70-player event.
