Darts in the dark: Honda pick, Fredrik Jacobson

This year I was coerced by a hockey writing friend of mine to do a weekly one-and-done golf pool that allows you to pick one golfer, never to use them again in 2013. Since I'm doing it for fun (and DEFINITELY not for money, no way, no how), I figured I'd post my weekly picks here, with who I've already used under it and my record for the year, and against the others in the pool. We're calling this Darts in the Dark.

Honda Classic Pick: Fredrik Jacobson

I've tried to be cute in this format and it hasn't done me much good so far this season. I started off okay, but my recent skid has me focusing entirely on guys that are playing solid golf right now and have had some success at this particular track in the past.

So I give you Fredrik Jacobson. The Swede has finished T-7, T-3 and T-9 in his last three events including that Accenture run that was rather impressive, and he has played PGA National great in the past, including a T-16 a year ago, T-6 in 2010 and T-5 in '09.

He is drooling with confidence and if he brings any of that momentum from the west coast I see a big week for Jacobson.
