Redskins' Santana Moss ejected for arguing RG3 touchdown call

The Washington Redskins are something else.

The team's season-long drama added another chapter in just one half on Sunday as Colt McCoy was injured in Washington's game against the New York Giants, Robert Griffin III replaced him and Santana Moss was ejected right after halftime.

Fun stuff.

Griffin's would-be touchdown run was wiped out right before the half when it was ruled he had fumbled the ball as he went into the end zone. Here's video of the play, the TD reversal and of Moss getting in a referee's face and drawing the flag and the boot:

The best part of the story was that his head coach, Jay Gruden, had no clue Moss was tossed. Fox sideline reporter Tony Siragusa was the one who informed Gruden of it.

Moss stuck around after the 24-13 Redskins loss to talk about what happened. He was upset about Griffin's rushing touchdown prior to halftime being ruled a fumble.

"When I saw the call overturned, I'm like, it only happens to us," Moss said, per Richmond Times-Dispatch's Michael Phillips. "Man, it feels like every time we do something good, something bad comes out of it. It only happens to us. And it's been 10 years of this. So I just got carried away, and I let that get the best of me. I've got to know better. I've got to do better."

Asked if this kind of thing follows the Redskins around, Moss said:

"You can say that, but it's been like that. It's been like that for 10 years, man. But hopefully, we can shake this, man. Honestly. Got too many good players around here, too many talented guys, and a coaching staff that believes in us, so hopefully we can shake this, man.

"It's horrible to be in it. And I'm saying that because there are better days and I know how this game can be played when you're having fun. You watch those guys [the Giants], those guys are in the same boat we're in, but they're having fun. We've got to find a way to do that."

So Redskins. So not fun.
