Fantasy Takeaways, Week 13: Mariota, Bortles combine for nine TDs, so much fantasy goodness

Tennessee and Jacksonville delivered an epic and unexpected statistical feast. At least one of these teams should continue to binge in the fantasy playoffs, too.

If we can direct your attention to the "Who's Hot" page for Week 13, you'll notice that the list is loaded with Titans and Jaguars. The players who currently rank second, fifth and sixth in weekly scoring were all involved in the ridiculous fantasy carnival that took place at Nissan Stadium. Blake Bortles passed for 322 yards and five TDs, yet he wasn't even the game's highest-scoring quarterback. Marcus Mariota went 20-for-29 for 268 yards and three scores, plus he finally flashed his rare escapability and 4.5-speed. Check the clip of Mariota's 87-yard rushing score (and please stick with the highlight through the 0:32 mark, for a glimpse of Earth's ripest pineapple greatest fan. He's glorious. A hero).

Jacksonville's Allen Robinson was completely uncoverable on Sunday, per his usual, catching 10 balls for 153 yards and three TDs on 15 targets. T.J. Yeldon and Antonio Andrews both spiked, as did Julius Thomas, Delanie Walker, Dorial Green-Beckham, and ... well, pretty much everyone other than Kendall Wright. When all the numbers were in the books, the teams combined for an insane 81 points and 850 total yards.

We should note that these defenses aren't actually the league's worst, believe it or not. Entering the week, Tennessee's D ranked sixth in terms of total yards (331.8 YPG) and sixth against the pass (224.1). Jacksonville hasn't been spectacular overall, but they ranked sixth against the run before Mariota, Andrews and David Cobb carved 'em up (210 rush yards). Again: Crazy. You can find full game highlights right here. Definitely worth your time.

Jacksonville's schedule is exceedingly friendly during the biggest segment of the fantasy season, including a dream match-up at New Orleans in championship week. Woe unto those who face Bortles and/or Robinson with a title on the line. Tennessee's road isn't quite as easy (NYJ, NE, HOU), but Mariota is rolling, coming off back-to-back games with three passing scores.

Yup, Matt Schaub is still a pick-sixing machine.

Miami's 15-13 win over Baltimore wasn't Sunday's prettiest game, but if you started the Dolphins D you're not complaining. Matt Schaub tossed yet another pick-six, his second in as many weeks and his eleventy-billionth since 2013. (No, his seventh. Still an incredible total.) For those of you who stream defenses each week, here's Schaub's rest-of-season schedule: Seattle, Kansas City, Pittsburgh, then at Cincinnati. You're welcome.

Lamar Miller is back in the circle of fantasy trust.

Mysteriously, Miller had become an afterthought in Miami's offense, receiving only a dozen total carries over the past two weeks. His fantasy owners certainly weren't too upset with the team's decision to part ways with OC Bill Lazor. On Sunday, Miller saw 21 touches and gained 118 scrimmage yards, a respectable performance against Baltimore. His remaining schedule is basically a layup line, with three straight match-ups against RB-friendly defenses: Giants, Chargers, then Colts. He's an obvious must-start in your fantasy postseason, a decent bet to finish as our game's top-scoring RB in the money weeks.
