Daily Dime: Carlos Gonzalez, Shelby Miller, Cards at Coors

Kolten Wong, 2B, at Col (Hale), $3600 at FanDuel: No need for a deep dive into the numbers here. Wong is facing a sketchy right-hander, hitting in the friendliest possible environment, slashing .308/.359/.464 for the year. He's an obvious buy at this price. Don't screw it up.

Shelby Miller, P, vs. SD (Kennedy), $8700 : Padres starter Ian Kennedy has been a carnival ride this season (6.60 ERA, 1.47 WHIP). He's ventured way outside the circle of fantasy trust. Miller, on the other hand, has been tremendous, posting a 1.89 ERA and 1.00 WHIP over 71.1 innings. He's held opponents to two earned runs or less in 10 of his 11 starts this year. Control was an issue in his last start, but he's back at home, facing a team that ranks No. 13 in the N.L. in team OBP.

Carlos Gonzalez, OF, vs. STL (Lackey), $3700: In case you hadn't noticed, Carlos has come alive. He homered in back-to-back games over the weekend and he's 9-for-20 over his last five games. He's a good bet against the right-handed Lackey in this one.

Mike Bolsinger, P, vs. Ari (De La Rosa), $6000: If you're looking to stack your Monday lineup with luxury bats, Bolsinger might just be your best bargain pitching option. His team is a heavy favorite at home (-165), and he's been mostly excellent over his six starts (1.98 ERA, 1.07 WHIP). Sure, Bolsinger has had some good fortune to this point (.253 BABIP), but he's keeping the ball in the park and on the ground.

Nick Markakis, OF, vs. SD (Kennedy), $2500: Again, it's Kennedy. Even though Markakis has a lousy history against him (0-for-6), I don't really care. Not a particularly meaningful sample. LHBs have put up a .993 OPS against Kennedy so far this season, which is just nuts. And that brings us to this guy...

Freddie Freeman, 1B, vs. SD (Kennedy), $3900: OK, normally I prefer not to list $3900 hitters among the bargains, but we have a light slate on Monday, and, well ... Kennedy. Freeman is binging in June, going 9-for-23 with three homers, seven runs scored and eight RBIs.

Alex Rios, OF, at Min (Hughes), $2600: Rios has the sort of history against Hughes that's awfully hard to ignore: 13-for-27, four doubles, HR, five RBIs. And it's not as if the current version of Hughes is the best we've seen. (He's been a disaster for me in seasonal leagues, so I'm happy to earn back those losses in daily.)

Mark Reynolds, 1B, at Col (Hale), $2800: If you're looking for an inexpensive way to get a share of the Coors Field party, here you go. Reynolds can of course go 0-for-4 with four Ks against anyone, but hey, he's a power bat playing at Coors. He also went 2-for-4 with a double on Sunday.

Nick Hundley, C, vs. STL (Lackey), $2700: It's not the best day to visit the junk-catcher market, so I'm rolling with Hundley in a few lineups. Again, it's a low-cost way to invest in Coors. Hundley has slashed .321/.349/.564 at home this year.

Alcides Escobar, SS, at Min (Hughes), $2300: Here's another Royals hitter who enjoys seeing Hughes. Esobar is 6-for-17 against the right-hander, with a double and a homer. At a near-minimum price, I'm in.
