VIDEO: Team Jennifer Jones vs Sheepdogs: Rock ‘n’ roll the shooter

The adventures of a gold medal winning curling team continue.

While they weren't chosen to carry the flag at the closing ceremonies at The Olympics, the Canadian women's undefeated roll to victory at Sochi has since sent skip Jennifer Jones and her team on a whirlwind of talk show appearances, celebratory receptions and civic announcements.

With Jones and her teammates Kaitlyn Lawes, Jill Officer and Dawn McEwen being from Manitoba and this year's Juno Awards being held in Winnipeg, a confluence of events has led to a grudge match between Jones' rink and Saskatchewan rockers The Sheepdogs.

Earlier this week, the band tweeted out to its fans that they were on the way to Winnipeg for Sunday's awards show. Before the awards, they said, they had some business to attend to:

Then, they decided to get a little chippy with the Jones Four:

That led to this teaser, making the rounds ahead of the full video of the clash of two provincial curling powers.

Saturday morning, the Juno site had the full video posted. I won't spoil the outcome for you, as you can see it all unfold below. Suffice to say, there was some good shotmaking, some not so good shotmaking, a shirtless curler (you're right, that would be one of The Sheepdogs) lots of beer swilling and even an impressive Stoughton spinarama pulled off by The Sheepdogs' Ryan Gullen.

While the boys from Saskatchewan gave it a good show, doesn't look like there's any talent there for either Stoughton or Kevin Martin to mine as they look for new team members. Of course, they were using old-school corn brooms as weapons, and the St. Vital Curling Club did provide the Jones team with an advantage, as it happens to be their home club.

April Wine may have said it best: Rock 'n' roll is a vicious game.

Sure. But curling'll break your heart.

Now that Team Jones has met their latest curling challenge, they'll next be seen on stage at The Junos, to present an award, on Sunday night.

The Sheepdogs will perform as part of a tribute to Bachman-Turner Overdrive, who will be inducted into the Canadian Music Hall Of Fame.
