Eugenie Bouchard gets ready for her Wimbledon semifinal (photos)
WIMBLEDON – The two competitors practiced just on the other side of the fence from one another starting at about 11:30 a.m., although there was a large crowd of people in between and it might as well have been two different worlds.
Genie Bouchard did her usual - ending things with some swing volleys. Simona Halep sat down on the grass and had a long pow-wow with her team early on in her warmup. She didn't seem to be running like the wind on the cout, with that heavy wrap on her leg. But it will likely be a different story once the umpire calls "Ready? Play."
Nothing dramatic; they were on the practice courts at Aorangi, so Bouchard could pull out her favorite neon warmup duds.
She left the court, signed some autographs, posed for a few selfies, answered with a big Bouchard smile when someone shouted "Good Luck!" to her, and disappeared back in to the tunnel to wait for her match.
