Tiger-Cats win East semifinal, but CFL.ca briefly had the Alouettes triumphing…

Sunday proved to be a rough day for the Montreal Alouettes, as they came awfully close to winning the East semifinal against Hamilton, leading inside the final two minutes before giving up a crucial late touchdown to C.J. Gable, then tying the game with a last-second field-goal drive before losing in overtime. After the Alouettes could only notch a field goal, the Tiger-Cats came up with a touchdown and the 19-16 victory, leaving Montreal with thoughts of what could have been. However, the league's official website briefly gave the Alouettes the win. Via Emily on Twitter:


Whoops. That's not a mistake you really want to make during your league's playoffs. Obviously, someone just erroneously applied the "Final" tag after Montreal's overtime field goal, and it was quickly remedied, but still, that's pretty funny. However, the Alouettes were only briefly winners, and only in the mind of the league's website. The Tiger-Cats actually won and will get to travel to Toronto next week for the East Final. The Alouettes will have to go home for the offseason, and briefly being listed as the winning team on CFL.ca probably isn't going to give them that much consolation...
