Photos: Tiger-Cats release Signature Look uniform, “stealth” grey with black and gold

Tuesday saw the latest CFL Signature Look uniforms unveiled, with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats releasing photos of their new third jerseys. What's most notable is the way they've made these primarily grey, with both the helmet and the pants in that colour. The team dubs this a "modern stealth look." The gold and black found on their usual home uniforms is still present, but in smaller quantities; they have gold numbers and stripes, gold-and-black gloves, black accents between the torsos and the shoulders and grey and black helmets. Here's a closeup of the helmets from the front:

The helmets might be the most unique element here. It's neat to see how big the gold logo on one side of the helmet is, and the grey-and-black paneling from the front looks pretty cool. The numbers are boldly displayed in gold on the other side, as you can see here:

It's interesting that the team's gone to "Hamilton" as the writing above the numbers, a change from their typical "Tiger-Cats". You can see that from this photo of slotback Andy Fantuz in the new duds:

Here's a closer view of that:

They also have "Hamilton" written vertically in gold on the side of the pants, which feature the team's logo on the front:

Overall, these uniforms look pretty good. The Tiger-Cats' existing gold and black was already a solid look, and this keeps some of the best elements of that while switching it up. The alternating grey and black all over the uniform is cool, and the helmets and pants look great. The gold gloves are a nice touch too. The team's expected to unveil these Sept. 1 against Toronto, unless that game gets moved.
