Mike Tyson on Donald Trump: 'Why wouldn't anybody like him?'

Over the course of his career, Mike Tyson has been known to say things that raise a few eyebrows. He’s said he was going to eat Lennox Lewis’ children and bathe in the blood of his fallen foes – but some might suggest that what he stated during his appearance on HuffPost Live to promote his “Mike Tyson Mysteries” show on Adult Swim might be the most ludicrous of them all.

"[Donald Trump] should be president of the United States," Tyson said when asked about the polarizing Republican Party candidate.

The former heavyweight champion’s words may not be too surprising considering that Trump and Tyson have some history together as Trump has been a supporter of Tyson throughout his boxing career. However, Trump’s inflammatory and controversial comments about immigrants have put the candidate in a lot of hot water. But Tyson came right to the billionaire’s defense by stating that he doesn’t believe Trump “thinks of Latinos in that way” and simply didn’t know how to deliver his message.

“Why wouldn’t anybody like him?” Tyson inquired. “He’s just a man who needs time to grow too.”

But the reason why Tyson has gotten behind Trump is because he believes that America could use a successful businessman to run the country.

"Let's try something new,” Tyson said. “We tried Obama. It’s time for a change? Well, let’s make a change. Let's run America like a business, where no colors matter. Whoever can do the job, gets the job,"

There it is. Mike Tyson has thrown his support behind Donald Trump for President.
