Patriots TE Gronkowski cleared to play at training camp

After suffering a torn ACL in December, Rob Gronkowski is back.

The tight end should be his normal self when the season starts, right?

The Sports Tonight crew discussed whether or not Patriots fans should expect to see a different Gronk this season.

"He's not going to be the old Gronk, at least right away," said Jeff Howe of WEEI. "Once he hits the ground running and is able to get his feet under him and his knee under him, he's a guy that's going to be productive and he's going to change the entire dynamic of the offense."

Michael Holley believes the team is expecting Gronkowski to be productive right out of the gate.

"If he's cleared to play, you got Gronk back out there, why wouldn't you expect him to be the same guy?" asked Holley. "I think the Patriots expect him to be the same guy because we got the news that he was going to be ready really a couple months ago when they didn't draft anybody.

"They didn't sign Jermichael Finley, they talked with him. They didn't sign Dustin Keller, they talked with him. Clearly they were okay with their tight end situation. That should've told us that they think Gronk is going to be about the same."
