The Pittsburgh Penguins had themselves a grand old time in the second period against the Arizona Coyotes Monday night. Four goals in an 11-minute span helped send them to the final 20 minutes with a 5-0 lead. Sidney Crosby was one of those five goals, as you’d expect.

The Penguins captain tallied his 21st goal in his 23rd game this season by batting the puck out of the air after he had just tipped the attempt.

There was some concern for Crosby at the end of the first period after he took a Martin Hanzal stick to the face and skated to the room. He would return for the middle frame to help out in inflicting more damage onto the poor Coyotes.

Pittsburgh has played six games in December and scored at least five goals in five of them. The one they didn’t they had to settle for a mere four during a win over the Tampa Bay Lightning. Slackers.
