OHL Roundup: Kosmachuk scores four times as Storm rolls over 67's

GUELPH, Ont. - Scott Kosmachuk scored four times and added an assist as the Guelph Storm downed the visiting Ottawa 67's 7-3 on Sunday afternoon in Ontario Hockey League play.

Kosmachuk has 12 goals and 21 points in 12 games, which is good for fifth in OHL scoring.

Hunter Garlent had a goal and three assists for the Storm (9-3-0), who extended their winning streak to four games, while Robby Fabbri and Brock McGinn each scored once.

Joseph Blandisi led the 67's (5-8-0) with two goals and Dante Salituro had the other.

Guelph's Matthew Mancina made 29 saves for the win as Ottawa's Philippe Trudeau stopped 40-of-47 shots in defeat.

The 67's have given up 59 goals on the season, which ties them with the Sudbury Wolves for the most goals against of any OHL club.

The Storm went 1 for 4 on the power play while Ottawa scored once on six chances with the man advantage.

OSHAWA, Ont. — Cole Cassels scored the shootout winner and added two assists in regulation as the Generals edged Sault Ste. Marie.

Scott Laughton scored twice for Oshawa (9-2-1) while Bradley Latour and Michael Dal Colle had a goal and an assist apiece.

Sergey Tolchinksy led the Greyhounds (8-1-2) with two goals and Tyler Gaudet and Nick Pastorious each scored once.

Daniel Altshuller earned the win for the Generals after stopping 16-of-17 shots. Altshuller replaced Ken Appleby, who allowed three goals on 23 shots in 33 minutes of action. Sault Ste. Marie's Matt Murray made 31 saves in defeat.
