DTotD: Gareth Bale whacked in the groin by Granada defender
Real Madrid climbed to the top of La Liga on Saturday with a 2-0 home win over Granada, but it was a very painful victory for Gareth Bale. Just eight minutes into the game, the Welshman attempted to navigate the ball past Colombian defender Jeison Murillo, but ended up with a full-swing kick in the groin.
For unremorsefully ploughing into the world's most expensive wedding veg, Murillo was lucky to receive only a yellow card. Bale was so sore from the incident that he asked (in a very high voice) to be taken out of the game at half time:
.@MrAncelotti: "@GarethBale11 didn't feel comfortable after the knock he received & that's why I took him off." #RMLive

Rumors that Murillo was subsequently presented with a basket of fruit and a thank you card signed "C Ronaldo" are unfounded.
