Alex Morgan engaged to Houston Dynamo’s Servando Carrasco

Ever since the 2011 Women's World Cup, U.S. striker Alex Morgan has been getting more marriage proposals than Santa Claus gets letters. Now, she's decided to accept one. Sadly, it was not the one you left on her Facebook page at 3 a.m. after watching this goal on YouTube. It was from long-time boyfriend and Houston Dynamo midfielder Servando Carrasco.

Morgan shared her happiness on Twitter and Instagram, shattering the dreams of many of her followers. Shortly after, the Robin Thicke to her Miley Cyrus, U.S. teammate Sydney Leroux, announced she was on bachelorette party detail.

Morgan and Carrasco have been together since their days at the University of California. Carrasco was traded by the Seattle Sounders, who drafted him in 2011, to Houston in September. Morgan remains in the Pacific Northwest with the NWSL's Portland Thorns.
