This is the man who allegedly threw the beer bottle before 100-meter final
This is a picture of the 34-year-old father of two who allegedly threw a beer bottle onto the track before Sunday night's 100-meter men's final. The bottle landed a few feet from Yohan Blake and Usain Bolt before their medal runs in the highly anticipated sprint.
His name is Ashley Gill-Webb and he was charged in Stratford magistrates' court with intending to cause intentional harassment, alarm or distress. The Guardian reports he has two children and is a member of a local soccer team.
The back of his jacket appears to read "Queen O'Towd Thatch: Public House," which is the name of a bar in Leeds. Not that he'd have been able to read it himself: The alleged perp was wearing sunglasses at night.
The justice system would be wise to charge Webb with his biggest crime of all: those cargo jeans.
