David Booth goes through two Islanders dekes out a third on end-to-end goal (Video)

If you’re the Toronto Maple Leafs, you need something positive. Something that isn’t a lawsuit, or a player calling out the media, or a player sleeping through a team meeting.

We give you David Booth, and this nice goal against the Islanders' Michal Neuvirth:

Through two defenders, dekes out another one, coast-to-coast like buttered toast? Not bad. Meanwhile, Neuvirth is probably like 'what is this, Buffalo?'

Clearly Booth is not the same guy who scored 31 goals for the Florida Panthers in 2008-09. And he’s probably not going to survive Brendan Shanahan’s organizational sledgehammer this summer, since he’s on a one-year contract and came into the contest with three goals in 43 games played. He’s also 30.

But you have to take the pluses where you can find them. And that was a good looking goal.
