College hockey line brawl sees 160 penalty minutes, goalie fight tease (Video)

Saturday was Hockey Day Minnesota and the Ferris State Bulldogs and Minnesota State-Mankato Mavericks helped to celebrate through an old hockey tradition: a line brawl.

Nineteen seconds after MSU scored their second power play goal of the period to go up 4-2, a post-save scrum got off to a slow start, but developed into flying fists, with each player pairing off, and a tease of a goalie fight:

As always with these line brawls, the announcers contribute a solid 50% of the entertainment factor.

Three players were ejected and 160 penalty minutes were handed out for the brawl alone:

The three players who received disqualification penalties -- Justin DeMartino, Zach Stepan and Teddy Blueger -- get the automatic one-game suspension. Ferris State's netminder, C.J. Motte, would get dinged for 25 penalty minutes.

Minnesota State would hang on for a 4-3 win and a two-game sweep of Ferris State.
