Ben Bishop gives Ben Smith the Rock Bottom (Video)

A goalie’s crease is his domain. We know this because the referees are completely overprotective of them. But sometimes, goalies have to take matters in their own hands.

For example, witness Ben Bishop, vigilante goalie!

Against the Chicago Blackhawks on Tuesday, Ben Smith backed his way into the Tampa Bay Lightning crease. Bishop appeared to take a bump and began to fall backward. He then reached up with his blocker, put his arm around Smith’s neck and pulled him down to the ice.

We believe the conversation went a little something like this:

“Hi, I’m going to back into your crease.”

“Sorry, I didn’t get your name.”

“Oh, yeah, I’m …”

“IT DOESN’T MATTER WHAT YOUR NAME IS!”

Smith, of course, received the only penalty on the play for interference.
