Kevin Pillar continues to make exceptional catches in the outfield

Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Kevin Pillar is developing quite the reputation for his defense. Pillar has already made highlight-worthy catches this season, and added another one Thursday.

With two outs in the bottom of the fifth inning, Brandon Moss crushed a ball to deep center field. Pillar ran back at full speed, and made a catch before violently slamming into the wall. He managed to hold onto the ball, keeping the Indians from scoring any additional runs during the frame.

Just how impressive was Pillar's latest catch? Well, Statcast says it was pretty great. Pillar reached a top speed of nearly 18 mph on the play, and had a 96.2 percent route efficiency. Yeah, that's pretty impressive.

Pillar has already been nicknamed the Skydome Spider-Man by our own Jeff Passan, but he's starting to resemble another superhero who flies, wears blue and appears to have a body made of steel.

Like Clark Kent, once he puts on that uniform, Pillar transforms into Superman.
