Slight injury concerns for Milos Raonic and Genie Bouchard as they get set for Wimbledon Round 2

WIMBLEDON – There were concerned faces on the practice court Thursday morning as top Canadian Milos Raonic went through his pre-match warmup ahead of a second-round encounter against American Jack Sock.

Raonic didn't look much like his usual self. He really was looking pretty sluggish, his face downcast. And after this photo was taken there were some ministrations to his lower foot, or possibly ankle.

We'll see what happens when Raonic takes to Court 3 – a court on which he has everlasting memories of his first Wimbledon in 2011, when he injured his hip in a match against Gilles Muller of Luxembourg and ended up having surgery.

Sock has been a pretty tough customer for Raonic to handle in their three prior meetings, all in the last 16 months.

The stars aren't really aligning - which often means a routine, straight-set victory. But only time will tell.

As for Bouchard, she had some knee tape during her doubles match on Wednesday. Bouchard rarely has any tape at all; but in this case, it comes after having knee soreness after the French Open that actually kept her off the court for six days.

It didn't seem to hamper he all that much in the doubles – but that was doubles. And who knows how it felt when she woke up.

Bouchard had the longer tights on for her warmup today – definitely an unusual sight. It wasn't steamy hot, but Alizé Cornet, on a nearby court, didn't let that stop her form wearing the short shorts.

Bouchard plays Silvia Soler-Espinosa of Spain later today.

The other Canadian in action is Frank Dancevic, who plays Mikhail Kukushkin of Kazakhstan on Court 10.
