Raptors’ Terrence Ross dunks in face of Denver Nuggets’ Kenneth Faried (VIDEO)
Last week, Terrence Ross scored a Toronto Raptors record-tying 51 points. On Friday, his jam over of the Denver Nuggets' Kenneth Faried would have earned a perfect 50 in the NBA slam dunk contest, only it was in-game and over the Manimal, who protects the rim better than nearly anyone in basketball.
Ball don't lie. Time was ticking down in the first half when Faried made a lazy entry pass into the low post that Amir Johnson slapped down, causing a turnover. Faried jogged back, assuming he could cancel out his gaffe by cutting off Ross' path to the basket.
Then this happened!
Here's an alternate angle from Altitude Sports:
The second-year swingman is already the least statistically likely player to have a 50 or more point game in the NBA. But Ross has continually grown up on the job since the Raptors' season-altering jettisoning of Rudy Gay.

That loud noise you heard was the SN newsroom when Terrence Ross did THAT!

Ross, of course, won the dunk contest during his rookie season. Some fans are going to be upset if he is not back to retain his title during NBA all-star weekend. Rest assured, he is practising.
