Eugenie Bouchard talks: about Bieber, fashion, snowbirds, her new coach – but not her health

INDIAN WELLS – The first order of the day, of course, was to expound on what it was like to meet fellow Canadian Justin Bieber, a singer tennis star Genie Bouchard has long admired.

Not surprisingly, she was impressed.

The 21-year-old, who hasn't played a tournament in a month, returns to action at the BNP Paribas Open this weekend with little match play in 2015. But she would not get into specifics about the injury that was in part responsible for her early exit in Antwerp, Belgium – her first tournament after the Australian Open – and her subsequent withdrawal from events in Dubai and Monterrey, Mexico.

"I'm not going to really go into that," she said.

But Bieber? No problem. Here's some of what she had to say, on various other subjects.

Bouchard is the No. 6 seed here and has a first-round bye.
