Design Firm Create 'Blasting Chamber' That Lets You See Fireworks Up Close

Design Firm Create 'Blasting Chamber' That Lets You See Fireworks Up Close. Design studio Bompas & Parr has created a bizarre and explosive new attraction a chamber where you can see a firework display at the closest quarters imaginable. The Architectural Blasting Chamber has been created for the London Architecture Festival's 20th anniversary. The design firm claim it will revolutionise the art of the fireworks display. Festival attendees don heavy-duty personal protective equipment (PPE) including a fire retardant jumpsuit, a fireproof mask, a fireproof snood, welding gloves, and earplugs to enter the custom-built bombproof room. Inside this chamber, participants lit fireworks and witnessed their explosions up close, creating a visceral and immersive experience. They could even see the impact of their own explosive creations - having designed the fireworks that were let off in the chamber. The event is in support of Maggie’s, a charity offering free support to individuals with cancer.
