Player Notes
Jason Heyward hit his sixth homer of the year Monday against the Padres.

Advice: It was his second homer in two months, and it gave him his first two RBI since Aug. 5. It's probably going to take more than just the one for him to regain his confidence.

Jason Heyward is back in the Cubs' lineup Monday against the Padres.

Advice: The struggling Heyward was held out of the lineup for the entire weekend series at Coors Field, but he's back in there Monday and hitting sixth against Edwin Jackson. Kris Bryant will start in left field Monday while Javier Baez plays third.

Cubs manager Joe Maddon said Friday that he plans to rest Jason Heyward for the entire weekend series against the Rockies at Coors Field.

Advice: The Cubs face two left-handers in the three game set, so it's a good opportunity for Maddon to sit down the struggling outfielder and let him clear his head. Heyward is hitting a disappointing .225/.304/.313 with five homers, 32 RBI and a 77/42 K/BB ratio over 458 plate appearances.
