Player Notes
Yunel Escobar had a perfect at the plate, recording five hits in as many at-bats, as the Nationals topped the Marlins on Monday.

Advice: All five hits were singles. Despite reaching base so often, the Nationals only brought him around to score once, in the first inning on Ryan Zimmerman's sacrifice fly. Escobar broke a 4-4 tie in the eighth inning with a two-run single to right field, which proved to be the deciding hit. Escobar hasn't recorded an extra-base hit since April 22, but the Nationals will take his .311/.361/.411 triple-slash line nevertheless.
