Republic of Ireland are off the mark in the Nations League in the 2022-23 campaign after easing past Scotland by a 3-0 margin at the Aviva Stadium. Alan Browne put the home side ahead from close range before Troy Parrott nodded home a second following fine work from Michael Obafemi. The two combined again for the third early in the second half as Obafemi found the net with a stunning strike from distance to secure the three points. Scotland were made to rue missed opportunities in the first half, but Steve Clarke and his team will be bitterly disappointed with the level of their performance.
