The Reds face AC Milan in their opening European match of the campaign
Liverpool boss Arne Slot has been speaking to the media before Tuesday's Champions League game away to AC Milan (20:00 BST). Federico Chiesa will be available for selection for the first time since his summer move from Juventus but it is "too early" for him to be in the starting line-up. Slot added the Italian winger "combines quality with a tremendous work rate" and "brings this to his game with the combination of scoring goals".
According to the Opta predictor, Manchester City are the favourites to win this season’s Champions League with a 24.9 per cent chance of doing so. Real Madrid, the reigning and 15-time champions, have the second-best chance at 17.8 per cent and Inter Milan third with 10.7 per cent.
On the latest episode of BBC Radio Manchester's The Devils' Advocate podcast, Gaz Drinkwater and Joe McGrath reviewed United's 3-0 win at Southampton, looked at the impact of the two summer arrivals from Bayern Munich and discussed whether Amad Diallo could become a star in the future. "I think Amad Diallo has to start games now."
