    TORONTO — The new Canadian women's pro soccer league will be called the Northern Super League, with franchises in Ottawa and Montreal completing the six-team circuit set to kick off in April 2025. The name and latest cities to come on board were revealed today in a speech by Diana Matheson, CEO and co-founder of Project 8 — the group behind the league.
