Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers admits the club weren't overly optimistic in appealing Daizen Maeda's Champions League ban. The Japan international was sent off for kicking out at an opponent in the win over Young Boys and missed the subsequent defeat at Aston Villa, but it was confirmed on Monday night the second match of his suspension has been overturned. Maeda has 22 goals in 38 appearances this season, with six in his past three games alone, and his availability for the play-off first leg is a boost for Rodgers' side.
