Thankfully, this season has given us a worthy shot at rediscovering the glory days - including going head to head with Liverpool once again. Matz Sels proved his worth as the best keeper in the Premier League, and Neco Williams kept Mohamed Salah at bay for the whole match. Coming away from this season's games with Liverpool unbeaten and with our heads held high is a strong statement.
Who is the north London derby bigger for? It has been a disappointing week for the Gunners, losing the first leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final to Newcastle and then being knocked out of the FA Cup by Manchester United on Sunday - both at home. The manner of those defeats, especially against a 10-man United, have not sat well with the fans.
When Brendan Rodgers says his side failed to the do the "basics" at Dens Park and were too "soft", there's method to the criticism. It's hardly crisis time, but by Celtic's very high standards this season, there's been a bit of a drop-off in level. Celtic splashed out around £6m for Auston Trusty, so it's only natural they'd try to get him in the side.
You could argue Motherwell's latest league outing was a mirror of their season so far. There was a flatness in their play at times, there were individual errors, moments of brilliance, some grit and fight... and unfortunately more injuries. Let's start with that last point, and what a horrible sight it was to see Paul McGinn leave the field after what appears to be a recurrence of his thigh muscle injury that kept him out for three months this season.
