Dorrington keen to match Maddison's impact at Aberdeen

New signing Alfie Dorrington hopes he can emulate Tottenham Hotspur team-mate James Maddison with an impactful loan stint at Aberdeen. The 19-year-old defender has joined the Pittodrie club until the end of the season on loan from Ange Postecoglou's side in search of "a platform to perform". Down in North London, he shared a dressing room with England international Maddison who spent the first half of the 2016-17 season on loan at the Dons from Norwich City.

'If Forest beat Liverpool they are title contenders'

Douglas stresses 'livelihoods are at stake' at St Johnstone

Barry Douglas has warned his St Johnstone team-mates that "livelihoods are at stake" as the club attempt to avoid relegation from the Scottish Premiership. Former Scotland international Douglas appeared off the bench after the break, marking his return from a severe calf tear that was kept him out since November.

It is hard to think that some 11 and a half years after he last sat in the home dugout at Goodison Park, David Moyes is on the eve of doing it all again. Part of me believes it was always destined to happen, with it almost being poetic that he should be the man to manage our last match at Goodison Park and the first at Everton Stadium. A steady pair of hands was certainly the order of the day once Sean Dyche's departure was confirmed, and Moyes ticks that box.
