    Newport position 'phenomenal' given summer overhaul

    Former captain and current player liaison officer Mark O'Brien believes Newport County are in a "phenomenal" position considering the significant changes made at the club over the summer. The Exiles parted company with boss Graham Coughlan in June before bringing in Nelson Jardim as head coach. Jardim's side are 10th after the opening 10 matches of the League Two campaign, sitting just four points adrift of leaders Walsall.

    Bluebirds head off on international duty - but some stay put

    Aaron Ramsey’s absence through injury means there is no senior Cardiff City representative in the Wales squad for the Nations League games in Iceland on Friday and home to Montenegro next Monday. Ramsey has been pictured training with Wales but is not expected to finish his rehabilitation for between three and four weeks, according to Cardiff interim boss Omer Riza. Two more members of Riza’s current squad, Cian Ashford and Tom Davies, are also with the Under-21s.
