    Teenage midfielder Fran Franczak has thanked St Johnstone manager Simo Valakari for showing faith in him. Franczak, 17, became Saints' youngest ever player - aged 16 yrs and 38 days old - when he made his debut against Hibs last season. This term, Franczak is beginning to establish himself under Valakari - starting three of the last four games - and hopes to feature in Saturday's Scottish Cup tie at home to Motherwell.

    County's Tomkinson wants to emulate Celtic duo

    New Ross County defender Jonathan Tomkinson is hoping to emulate the success of fellow Americans Auston Trusty and Cameron Carter-Vickers. The centre-back has not featured for the Canaries this season having spent the last campaign on loan at Bradford City, but is desperate for a County debut in Saturday's Scottish Cup fourth-round tie with Livingston. "Coming to play at the same level as them [Celtic's Trusty and Carter-Vickers] is massive for me," Tomkinson told club media.
